Gaza health ministry says 30,000 people killed since start of Israeli offensive | BBC News
Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry has announced that more than 30,000 people, including 21,000 children and women, had been confirmed killed in Gaza since the start of the recent conflict.
It came as at least 112 more Palestinians were reported to have been killed while trying to get desperately needed aid in north Gaza.
Crowds of civilians descended on an aid convoy of lorries after it passed through an Israeli military checkpoint west of Gaza City. Israel's military said troops fired at some people they thought were a threat.
In the chaos, the lorries moved forward and it’s reported that many people were run over. Aerial footage released by the Israeli military showed hundreds of people on and around the lorries.

Volodymyr Zelensky says 31,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed during Russia's full-scale invasion.
The Ukrainian president said he would not give the number of wounded as that would help Russian military planning.
Typically, Ukrainian officials do not make casualty figures public, and other estimates are much higher.
It comes after the defence minister said half of all Western aid for Ukraine has been delayed, costing lives and territory.
